Description

Within this small book are more than 20 playtested feats that I have used for years at my tables. Each feat is designed to either support a character archetype unsupported in 5e, support a style of play that is restricted to a few select subclasses, or support more diverse character builds at higher levels. My own groups have loved playing with these feats for years. I hope your group does too.

Here is an example of the feats within this homebrew.

Novice Necromancer

You have begun your journey down perfecting the necromancy school of magic.

You learn two 1st-level necromancy spells of your choice. You can cast each of these spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast either of these spells in this way, you can’t cast that spell in this way again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast these spells using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. The spells’ spellcasting ability is intelligence.

Additionally, as an Action, you can touch a dead body or pile of bones. You can create either a zombie or skeleton under your control. This creature has hit points equal to 1 + your current level. The undead exists for 8 hours before turning to dust. This undead acts during your turn in combat and can be commanded as bonus action. Otherwise, the undead takes the dodge action during combat.

You can have a number of these undead under your control equal to your proficiency bonus.
